Vinaigrette Dressing Recipe Formula

Vinaigrette dressings are easy to prepare by following the basic outline guide. The general guide is one part acid, to two parts oil, plus seasonings.



Step One: The acid base (select accordingly)

1          cup Vinegar, Balsamic, Apple Cider, Champagne etc.

23       Tbsp. fresh Juice such as Lemon, Orange, Pomegranate

Step Two: The Seasonings (select accordingly)

12       Tbsp. Mustard, whole grain, Dijon, etc.

12       Tbsp. Mirin

12       tsp. Soy Sauce

12       tsp. Toasted Sesame Oil

12       tsp. Chili Sauce

12       tsp. Honey or sweetener of choice

1/4       cup Parmesan Cheese, finely grated

Pinch Salt, Spices

Step Three: The Oil (select accordingly)

2           cups Olive Oil, Avocado Oil or oil blend of choice


  • Whisk together the ingredient selection for steps one and two.
  • Add the oil in a slow steady stream, allowing the oil and vinegar base to emulsify.
  • Store in the refrigerator until needed, or freeze in jelly jars.
