CHEF CAROL GREEN,NTP
Love on a plate! That’s what I believe serving up real food is all about!
Hi I’m Carol, certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and professional chef. A passionate foodie, wellness advocate and curious adventurer.
The path that lead me to Taste of Healing was born out of being very ill, scared and oh, SO sick and tired of the usual medical run around!
If you’ve found my blog looking for answers to heal your body with addressing the root cause, and not a ‘band-aid’ solution, I get you!
A little bit about my journey
I was born and raised on a farm in South Africa, growing up far away from fast food influences and being around my Mom’s fabulous cooking left a huge imprint on my love for cooking. One of my earliest memories is pulling a stool up to the massive farmhouse table and whipping up culinary creations with her.
I was however, not to be a professional foodie until many years later. I studied the arts and worked as a textile artist and fashion buyer, this diverse background in the arts and fashion, fuels my creative passion for beautiful food.
My culinary skills were put to the test when I followed my spirit of adventure and sailed to the Caribbean from Cape Town, South Africa on board a 54ft yacht with no real sailing experience! A love for the ocean and good food connected and soon I found myself cooking on-board much larger mega-yachts. I became a professional chef, and studied the art of French boulangerie, patisserie and cuisine at the ‘Ecole des Arts Culinaires’ in Lyon, France, as well as other short courses to gain inspiration and technique. My passion for healthy food is influenced by global culinary trends experienced on my travels.
While sailing the blue seas and catering to an elite, high profile clientele, being up-to-date with all the latest diets and food trends, I began to make the powerful connection between good health and correct nutrition. At the time I was suffering serious health challenges, and began to research food as medicine.
I saw vast improvements in my own health and well being through a whole food diet, years of avid research lead me to further my studies in nutrition with the Nutritional Therapy Association.
I am a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, (NTP) this training has brought valuable knowledge and insights to holistic healing. I continue to study breakthroughs in nutrition and nutrigenomics to assist my clients in the best healing protocols possible.
I believe that most health problems can be avoided, diminished or eliminated through a nutrient rich program. I am located in Fort Mill, SC, I am available for Nutritional Therapy consultations, nutrition and cooking classes.
With ‘Taste of Healing’ I have the tools to guide you on every step of your journey to optimal wellness, and with delicious nourishing food.
Healing Never Tasted So Good!
